What we believe

Mental health care doesn’t always start in a therapist’s office.

Soulfully Foundation works at the intersection of mental health, basic needs, accessibility, youth advocacy, and community care. The work looks different depending on what someone needs first.

Our programs

Four ways care actually reaches someone.

Because support should meet people where they are, not where we expect them to be.

Give care

Care Canister

Small canister, lasting impact.

Care Canisters repurpose empty tennis ball containers into portable kits of hygiene essentials, socks and a handwritten note of encouragement. Bins go out to local clubs; volunteers collect, fill and distribute. Nothing about it is complicated — that's the point.

Running now, with packing events and local distribution.

PATH Scholarship

Your PATH to care starts here.

PATH stands for Providing Access to Therapy & Healing. It sponsors approximately two to three months of therapy for young people in the U.S., roughly ages 13 to 24, who might not otherwise be able to afford mental health care.

Applications open in cohorts; see the eligibility notes below.

Language Lifeline

Speaking the language of care.

Most mental health material is written in English first. Language Lifeline works with bilingual advocates, volunteer translators and cultural advisors to adapt resources so they land — not just parse — in the communities that need them.

In pilot. We publish languages only once a resource has been community-checked.

Community Wellness

Free. In person. Together.

Soulfully is building a calendar of free, community-centred wellness programming: yoga, equine therapy, mindfulness sessions, group coaching, gatherings and speakers. Sessions are announced here as they are scheduled.

Being scheduled now. Nothing is listed as an event until it has a confirmed date.

Care Canister, start to finish

A piece of rubbish, five steps from being useful.

Thousands of empty tennis ball tubes are thrown away every year. We turn that waste into something useful, moving each one from the court to someone who can actually use it, with a process designed to stay simple.

Bins go out to local clubs

Collection bins are placed at tennis and country clubs, where empty ball tubes otherwise go straight to landfill.

  2. Illustration of a person dropping an empty tennis ball tube into a collection bin

    Members drop their empties

Players finish a set, drop the tube in the bin, and a piece of rubbish becomes raw material.

  3. Illustration of a volunteer holding a filled tennis ball tube beside a collection bin

    Volunteers collect and fill

Tubes are cleaned, then packed with hygiene essentials, socks and a handwritten note at a community packing event.

    Canisters travel

Finished canisters are moved to the partners and outreach teams already working in the community.

  5. Illustration of one person handing a filled Care Canister to another, a heart between them

    Hand to hand

A canister is offered — never dropped off. The point is the exchange as much as the contents.

The gap we work in

Young adults need carethe most, and get it the least.

23.1%

of U.S. adults live with a mental illness — more than one in five.

36.2%

of young adults aged 18–25 had a mental illness in the past year, the highest of any age group.

49.1%

of those young adults received any mental health treatment. Barely half.

What Soulfully means to our community.

Taylor PardeeFounder, Bella Venice
Their vision resonates deeply with me. As a founder, I admire their ability to take a bold idea of making mental wellness more accessible and bring it to life with such passion. Their programs prove that kindness and care are not abstract values, but actions that ripple out into communities.
Rodney MoradiCo-Founder & CEO, Career Readiness Program
Seeing an organization lead with empathy and intention is rare. Soulfully does just that, turning care and compassion into real, measurable impact. As a nonprofit leader, I deeply respect the ambition behind their work and the communities they are uplifting.
Virginia LaraSenior PSR
In my role, I see every day how much our communities need compassion and resources. What Soulfully is building addresses that need with kindness and action. Their programs create safe, supportive spaces that truly make a difference.
